Who’s who → Capetian Consorts [5/52] ↳ Matilda of Frisia (c.1024-1044), queen consort from 1034/1040 to 1044
Some sources affirm that she was the daughter of Liudolf, Margrave of Frisia, and Gertrude of Egisheim, but her ascendance and date of birth are unclear. She was married after the death of another prospective bride, also called Matilda, who was the daughter of Konrad II of Germany. She married King Henri I either in 1034 or in 1040. Nothing else is known about her; she may have given birth to a daughter who died the same year as her, in 1044. She was buried in the Saint-Denis Basilica.
Trivia: Til Schweiger, being born and raised in Germany, had always refused to put on a Nazi uniform for a film role. The only reason he agreed to for this film was because he got to kill Nazis.
